ABOUT US >

Here at St.Albans and District Friends of the Earth we’re keen to do what we can to improve our environment here and in the rest of the world. We’re a small, friendly group who meet once a month.

WHAT WE DO

Making life better for people and protecting the planet for future generations

We're a local group associated with the national charity, Friends of the Earth.

Concern for the environment unites us and we help the environment by individual actions, by taking action together and by lobbying local, national and international politicians and companies.

Recent campaigns have included

  • petitioning St.Albans District Council to clean up air pollution

  • working with local and county councillors to protect pollinators

  • taking action on single use plastics

We work with Sustainable St.Albans to organize Sustainable St.Albans Week and the Festival of Sustainability and with Plastic Free St.Albans to try and make St.Albans a Plastic Free City.

Everyone is welcome to join the group, receive our email updates, come along to meetings and help in any way they can.
