Join the lobby in Westminster to tell MPs
No More Profit From Harm

On Wednesday 21st October we'll be going to Westminster to ask our MPs to take action to ensure that UK companies can't profit from harm to people and the environment around the world - and it would be great if you could come.
The above photo was at the United for Warm Homes lobby that we attended last year and everyone who went found it so uplifting and worthwhile. Last year we took our community scarves. This year we'll have our swing tag bunting which illustrates all the harms that could be prevented by the legislation we're asking for - no slavery, no indigenous people displaced, no rainforest destroyed.
If you'd like to come on 21st then you'll need to fill out this form beforehand and email your MP using the template. It's super easy but necessary because of security but also to ensure we are legitimate. If you don't do this, sadly, you'll be turned away. Everything you need is here....

Please let me know if you have filled out the form and are coming along on 21st as Daisy Cooper has asked for a list of those attending. She has said she will see us at 2.30.
If Victoria Cooper is your MP could you let me know if you receive a response by replying to this email. Thank you
In either case, please let me know so that we can make arrangements for the day - just send an email to stalbansfoe@hotmail.com.
Fun and very worthwhile - help our stall at the Abbey Showcase

Once again, we'll be holding a stall at the St. Albans Abbey Showcase of local charities and groups. We'll be there on Saturday 24th October 11-3pm alongside other environmental and humanitarian groups talking to the public about our group and our campaigns.
We'll have a quiz about the environmental and human rights problems related to food items on the stall, information about the campaign to prevent UK companies profiting from human and environmental harm, and the chance to make a colourful swingtag to send to our MPs to remind them of their meeting with us earlier in the week. It will be a great chance to gather support for our campaign and attract new members.
Can you help?
You'll be working with others, chatting to the public and you'll have everything explained. There'll be 2 shifts - 11am-1pm and 1pm-3pm. Please send an email to stalbansfoe@hotmail.com. if you'd like to help.
Fancy a Film Night?

The People's National Emergency Briefing shows experts talking frankly about the effects of human induced climate changes, and the reactions of people to this information - some famous people and some ordinary people. The film is only being shown in community settings and screenings are accompanied by a discussion and ideas for action. Most people find the experience helpful and empowering.
There are lots of screenings planned in our area so now would be a great time to see this film that's sweeping the nation. See where screenings are planned on this map and, if you can, take a friend.
And finally... Get active on social media
