Help with the St Albans United for Warm Homes Protest Scarf
Join us for our next meeting, crafting and campaign planning, when we'll be getting together 7.30pm on Monday 13th January to finish the St Albans UFWH scarf at The Greenhouse at 46 London Road. Please join us whatever your craft skill level - you can come along just for the campaign planning - everyone is welcome.

If you would like to contribute a few inches of knitting then there's still time to do so - we just did plain knitting on 6-8mm needles casting on 30 stitches and using any odds of wool that's not too thick - email stalbansfoe@hotmail.com with any queries.
Join the last United for Warm Homes Stunt
Our marathon campaign to get the Government to commit to a nationwide programme of home insulation to help cold people and a heating planet comes to an end in February, and it would be great if you could be there for the finale.

On Tuesday 4th February we'll be taking our scarf to Westminster to give to Daisy Cooper MP.

The timings are still to be confirmed but it's likely that we'll be setting up a big photo stunt at Westminster at 10.30.

After that we'll meet out MP at the House of Commons, present the scarf and deliver our final message.

Finally you are invited to the United for Warm Homes celebration at FoE HQ at 3.30.

Please can you email stalbansfoe@hotmail.com if you would like to come along - the more the better to show that this is a crucial issue that needs action now!
Don't miss the TEDx Climate Salon on Monday January 20th in Harpenden
Local Friends of the Earth member, author, and eco renovation campaigner, Judith Leary-Joyce will be hosting a TEDx Climate Salon on January 20th at Harpenden Friends Meeting House between 7pm & 10pm.
The TEDx salon format is more informal than the conferences and includes a lot more time for discussion and sharing of ideas. The theme is Living the Green Life and the aim is to encourage participants to share their own experiences to help others, while defining their own next Green steps for 2025.
There will be two talks: Judith will speak about greening her life over 50 years and Emma Fletcher (Low Carbon Homes Director, Octopus Energy) will tell us how she brought her village - Swaffham Prior - together to become the first fossil free heating scheme.
This is a perfect opportunity to share our experiences and set personal green goals for 2025.
Book your place here.
