News

Come and take the climate message to your MP on 9th July at Westminster

Just occasionally, we get an opportunity to talk to someone who can really make a difference. And the mass lobby on the morning of 9th July is just such an opportunity.

Along with other local groups, and along with Friends of the Earth groups from around the country, we'll be travelling to Westminster to meet our MP and to tell them how important climate action is to us, to say that action for the climate can be great for people too, and to ask them to press the Government for a Bold and Fair Climate Action Plan.

The more of us that go along, the greater the impact, so it would be great if you could join us. The lobby is on 9th July and local MPs have said that they will meet us 10.45-11.30. We would need to arrive by 10am due to security.

If you would like to join in, you must register with the Climate Coalition - otherwise you won't be able to see your MP

If you would like to travel with other local people down to the lobby, email stalbansfoe@hotmail.com so that you can be kept up to date with meeting times etc.

This is a great opportunity to really make a difference, so do join in if you can.

we're campaigning to stop UK companies causing environmental and human rights abuses

Did you see that our Planet over Profit campaign aims to stop UK companies causing environmental and human rights abuses around the world?

With COP30 coming up in the Amazon in November, 2025 could be a great year for forests, and the law we're asking for would really help.

You can help by taking action to demand a new law, and sharing it. Thank you!
