JUNE 2019

The Time is NOW!

Mass lobby for climate, nature and people

The Time is Now is a mass lobby of parliament organised by a coalition of groups including FoE, The Wildlife Trusts, The Woodland Trust etc. on Wednesday 26th June.

There's 3 parts of the lobby:

1. Sign up online - do this here whether you can make it on 26th or not

2. Mass gathering Parliament Square at 1pm on 26th, then..

3. Meet our MPs, by joining a huge line organised by region and constituency. We'll be telling our MPs that whilst the recent target to de-carbonise by 2050 is a good start, we urgently need a plan and short term targets for reaching this longer term aim.

Join members of St.Albans Friends of the Earth and thousands of others in Westminster to tell our MPs that #TheTimeIsNow to prevent climate breakdown and save our wildlife.

Along with people from other St.Albans groups we'll be catching the 12.13pm train from St.Albans City Station.

The main event is happening between 1 and 4pm.

Visit The Time is Now website to sign up. Email stalbansfoe@hotmail.com if you'd like us to look out for you on the 12.13 train on 26th.

Join us for "Larks in the Park"

An afternoon of fun - this year with a Roman theme!

Don't worry - no togas are required to chat with the public about reducing their plastic use and asking them to sign postcards asking for legislation to cut plastic pollution.

We're holding a stall with Plastic Free St.Albans at Victoria Playing Field, Folly Lane, St Albans, AL3 5JH on Sunday June 30th between 12.00pm and 5.00pm.

Please can you spend an hour between 12 - 5pm soaking up the Roman themed fun and helping on the stall?

Email stalbansfoe@hotmail.com with an email entitled Larks in the Parks and the time on 30th June between 12 - 5pm that you'll be able to help. Thank you

Can you help us at Earthworks on 31st August?

Earthworks events are so popular and our volunteers always find the stalls we run there tremendously rewarding.

On Saturday 31st August between 12-4pm join us on our stall asking people to take small steps to help the environment - and themselves.

Email stalbansfoe@hotmail.com with an email entitled Earthworks and the time on 31st August between 12-4pm that you'll be able to help. Thank you
